Spencer Chinery, President/CFO Consultant

Spencer Chinery was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee and lives there currently with his wife and their two children. He attended The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) receiving an undergraduate Business degree with concentrations in Finance and Economics and later his MBA in 1998 while working as a Financial Analyst for CBL & Associates, a real estate investment trust listed on the NYSE. Spencer has worked in the field of finance and systems for over 20 years. Most recently prior to joining Lighthouse Spencer served as the CFO for The Hutton Company in Chattanooga, Tennessee a real estate development, construction and property management company with projects across the US. Prior to Hutton Spencer worked as CFO and in other financial capacities in retail, food service, accounting and technology companies including 5 years as the CFO for Greenlife Grocery a Chattanooga based natural and organic food retailer acquired by Whole Foods Market (NASDAQ) in 2010. When not working with our clients Spencer spends his time with family and in the outdoors whenever possible.
Dewey Hammond – CFO Consultant

Dewey Hammond lives in Chattanooga where he and his wife raised their three children. Dewey is an experienced business consultant, executive and financial professional. For 20 years, he served as an investment banker to small and mid-sized companies, providing advice and assistance related to mergers, acquisitions, financings, strategic alliances, and other business relationships. He was a founding partner of FourBridges Capital Advisors, a boutique Chattanooga-based investment bank focused on middle-market M&A. Dewey also previously worked as a partner in two technology-based startups and as CFO of another early stage entrepreneurial company. He graduated with a degree in Accounting from the University of Georgia before getting his JD from the University of Virginia. After practicing business law for 5 years, Dewey attended the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler School of Business where he received an MBA. While away from work, Dewey enjoys hiking, tennis, golf, chess, and especially spending time with his family, which now includes 5 grandchildren.
Charity Spencer, Accounting Analyst
Charity Spencer received her accounting degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and has been an Accounting Analyst for Lighthouse CFO Group since July 2016. She is actively engaged in the financial analysis and accounting management for our clients with a focus on real estate companies and retail among other areas. Prior to joining Lighthouse Charity was the accounting manager for a local grocery retailer in Cleveland, TN. While there, she was able to utilize her financial and managerial skill and subsequently worked with Jones Management in the position of GMIV specialist. Charity currently resides n Chattanooga, TN where she is the loving aunt to three little ones. Ms. Spencer also expresses a love for traveling and her community as well participating in mission trips whenever time allows.
Sarah Prewitt, Accounting Analyst
Sarah Prewitt has worked in the accounting field for 8 years. She graduated in 2009 from Southern Adventist University with a BBA in Finance Accounting. Prior to working for Lighthouse CFO Group, Sarah worked as the Trust Accountant for Three Angels' Broadcasting Network. She also worked as a Staff Accountant and Reporting Specialist for a Florida Hospital. When she's not working, she enjoys her family (husband and two little boys), hiking, camping, singing, and photography.
Marissa Corbitt, CPA, Controller Consultant
Marissa Corbitt joins Lighthouse CFO Group after practicing auditing, accounting and financial reporting across various industries and businesses in Chattanooga. Marissa has a passion for understanding different businesses and improving processes and procedures. Being inquisitive and detail-oriented, she works to understand what would make a business healthy and successful. Marissa began her career in public accounting at Decosimo, a regional public accounting firm based in Chattanooga. From there, she worked at both privately held and publically traded manufacturing entities as an Accounting Manager and a Senior Accountant. Marissa has experience in internal controls documentation, cash flow management, month-end reporting, and financial statement preparation. Outside the office Marissa is also a Hamilton County Master Gardener who enjoys flower and garden design as well as sharing the benefits of using native plants in landscaping. She is currently working on a native plant garden at the Brainerd Mission Cemetery. She also enjoys kayaking the Hiwassee, hiking and triathlons.
